A light Wednesday schedule features plenty of storylines.
The NHL's light schedule on Wednesday features a great rivalry matchup for playoff positioning and two teams trying to recover from their previous outings.
The Wednesday Night Rivalry game on NBCSN will take place between the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night. Both teams are on an uptick; Boston has won eight of 10 and the Rangers are winners of their last two games since the All-Star Break.
Elsewhere the San Jose Sharks visit the Flames and the Edmonton Oilers host the Pittsburgh Penguins. Edmonton is trying to bounce back from nearly blowing two points against San Jose on Monday, while the Sharks are trying to recover from losing to the Oilers.
It's an overall light night in the league with just three games, two of which are scheduled to begin at the same time. Following the Night Rivalry game, fans can turn their attention to Calgary where the Flames will be hosting the Sharks in the late game of the evening.
