The Western Michigan Broncos were one of the nation's best against-the-spread teams this season, with a 10-2 ATS record to go along with their 8-4 straight up record. The Broncos are set to face the Air Force Falcons in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl this Saturday at Albertsons Stadium (5:45 p.m., ESPN). Air Force is 4-1 SU and ATS in its last five games including an upset win over Colorado State.
Colorado State will meet the Utah Utes on Saturday in the Las Vegas Bowl (3:30 p.m., ABC) . Utah has been excellent in 11 bowl appearances since 1995 with a 10-1 SU and 8-3 ATS record. Both teams finished the year with an 8-4 ATS record as Utah also went 8-4 SU and Colorado State went 10-2 SU. The Utes are a 3-point favorite in Las Vegas.
The South Alabama Jaguars will be making their first bowl appearance ever after finishing the regular season 6-6 SU and 4-8 ATS. They are set to take on the Bowling Green Falcons in the Camellia Bowl (9:15 p.m., ESPN). Bowling Green has gone 0-4 SU and 0-3-1 ATS in its last four bowl appearances, so both teams should be motivated to earn a bowl win in this one. The UTEP Miners face the Utah State Aggies as the biggest underdog of the day on Saturday in the New Mexico Bowl (2:20 p.m., ESPN). Utah State was 9-4 SU and 6-7 ATS this season and is a 10-point favorite in this one.
The New Orleans Bowl pits the Nevada Wolf Pack against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (11 a.m., ESPN). Nevada is just 1-6 in its last seven bowl games but has covered the spread in each of its last two. UL Lafayette is 3-0 ATS over its last three bowl appearances and is a 1-point underdog in the New Orleans Bowl.
