Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 17: Rams vs. Seahawks

A win Sunday would give Seattle home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

With a win Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks would lock down the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs. To do so, they'd need to avenge a Week 7 loss to the St. Louis Rams, but a win would bring the Seahawks from 3-3 at that point all the way to 12-4 and home-field advantage in the postseason.

From a fantasy perspective, the Rams come into Sunday almost completely healthy. The Seahawks have a bit more to deal with -- running back Marshawn Lynch, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse and tight ends Cooper Helfet and Tony Moeaki are all on the weekly injury report. Kearse has been ruled out, and Helfet and Moeaki are question marks, though Lynch will certainly play.

The Seahawks will host the Rams Sunday, with the game scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET. Let's take a look at the fantasy considerations:

RAMS

Start 'em?: If you're digging deep, you can at least justify running Tre Mason out there, though he's got a tough road to hoe. ... The Rams' defense is good, but against Seattle it's a risky play.

Sit 'em: Against Seattle's defense, there aren't many St. Louis offensive players you want to use. Shaun Hill , Kenny Britt , Stedman Bailey and Jared Cook are all robbed of pretty much any value in the matchup. ... With the offense unlikely to score a lot, Greg Zuerlein might not get a lot of chances to kick.

SEAHAWKS

Start 'em: There are two no-doubt starts in the Seattle offense -- Russell Wilson and Marshawn Lynch. ... It's been a few bad games in a row for Steven Hauschka , but you're still using him. ... The Seahawks' defense is the league's best.

Start 'em?: With Jermaine Kearse out, Doug Baldwin will have more of the targets to himself, and he's had a few decent games lately.

Sit 'em: Even with a great Week 16, Luke Willson isn't a real fantasy option.

SUMMARY

Start in every league: Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Steven Hauschka, Seattle defense

Start if you're desperate: Tre Mason, St. Louis defense, Doug Baldwin

Bench: Shaun Hill, Kenny Britt, Stedman Bailey, Jared Cook, Greg Zuerlein, Luke Willson
