Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 17: DeMarco Murray

The Cowboys could rest their guys a bit. Should fantasy owners consider benching Murray?

The Dallas Cowboys have a small chance to get a bye for the playoffs, so they might be going for the win against Washington in Week 17. They will need the Seattle Seahawks to lose to the St. Louis Rams, which is a late afternoon game.

This is important because the Cowboys might want to dial back their carries on running back DeMarco Murray. Before this season, he was extremely injury prone and is still recovering from hand surgery two weeks ago. He's arguably their most important player on the team -- quarterback Tony Romo makes sense, as well.

Murray is probable with an illness and he's expected to play. Still, he needs 29 yards to pass Emmitt Smith for the single-season Cowboys rushing record. That's probably the only thing he has his eyes on.

Fantasy impact: If you have other options who will get four quarters of playing time, it's not a bad idea to sit Murray this week.
