Browns, Kyle Shanahan to part ways, per report

After only one season on the shores of Lake Erie, it appears Kyle Shanahan will be on the move once more.

The Cleveland Browns and offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan are set to go in different directions, according to Alex Marvez of FOX Sports. Shanahan came to Cleveland as part of Mike Pettine's staff and is only going to last one year. The Browns are also moving on from quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains, per Marvez.

Shanahan, 35, worked with the Houston Texans from 2006-09 as an offensive assistant before going to Washington in 2010 to be the offensive coordinator under his father, Mike Shanahan. Now, Kyle Shanahan is being interviewed as a potential head coach by the Buffalo Bills and San Francisco 49ers. Mike is being interviewed by the Chicago Bears, Oakland Raiders, Bills and 49ers. Should he land a head coaching job and Kyle does not, it seems a good bet the family could reunite.

Cleveland did not have a great offense in 2014 behind the quarterbacking of Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel, ranking 23rd in total yardage. The Browns were without star receiver Josh Gordon for 11 games due to multiple suspensions, and had to rely on pieces like Andrew Hawkins and Terrance West and Isaiah Crowell to move the ball.

In Washington, Shanahan's offenses checked in 18th, 16th, 5th and 9th respectively.
