Rolando McClain, Jeremy Mincey cleared to play vs. Packers

Dallas will have two of its starting defenders back against Green Bay after they suffered concussion-like symptoms last weekend.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive lineman Jeremy Mincey have both been cleared to play on Sunday against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Divisional playoffs, according to beat writer Nick Eatman. Both players had been dealing with concussion-like symptoms since last Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions.

Losing McClain would have been a big blow to Dallas. After signing him as a free agent this offseason, McClain has been one of the best finds of the season after resurrecting his career under defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli . The former Alabama star and Oakland Raiders first-round pick in 2010 amassed 81 tackles, two interceptions and a sack during the regular season.

Mincey led the Cowboys with six sacks this season, providing some push on the pocket. Even with Mincey, the Cowboys have not been able to generate a great pass rush this year after released longtime star DeMarcus Ware due to cap reasons. On the campaign, Dallas has 28 sacks, ranking 28th in the league and worst among remaining playoff teams.
