Fantasy football start/sit advice, Week 17: Matt Ryan

Matt Ryan gets a huge game against the Panthers. Should fantasy owners use him?

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan has a big game on the horizon when he takes on the Carolina Panthers for the NFC South crown.

Ryan has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league, and it has a lot to do with playing indoors. He's played in a dome for four of the last five weeks and he's thrown for over 300 yards in four of those five games with a combined 11 passing TDs.

He'll get a favorable matchup against the Carolina Panthers, who are the 12th-best matchup for fantasy quarterbacks. They are also slightly worse on the road, and this game is in Atlanta. Ryan had a decent game against them in Week 11, passing for 268 yards and one score.

The other good news is that receiver Julio Jones is practicing and he should be ready to roll for the huge game. The Falcons are also unlikely to have running back Steven Jackson, so it should be a pass-happy attack.

Fantasy impact: Ryan is a strong play as a QB5-7 this week.
