Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 17: Brandon LaFell

The Patriots' receiver has been productive force. Can he keep it up in Week 17?

New England Patriots wide receiver Brandon LaFell has proved to be a great acquisition for the team. After a mediocre career with the Carolina Panthers, LaFell has managed to step his game up in his first season working with Tom Brady. Through 15 games, he's hauled in 70 receptions for 883 yards and seven touchdowns, which include two 100-yard games as well as a pair of two-touchdown games. Although LaFell hasn't scored in five of his last six games, he finished every game in that time span with at least 41 yards. He's worth a start as long as he see's his usual volume of targets, which could be an issue this week.

Fantasy Impact: Things will get tougher for LaFell matchup wise against the Buffalo Bills. Their defense allows the 12th-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receiver. The issue this week is that the Patriots, having already clinched the AFC's number 1 seed, don't have anything to play for. LaFell will be a risky WR2/3 this week.
