Kenny Britt was the Rams' leading receiver on Sunday. We take a look at the fantasy implications.
The New York Giants delivered an explosive offensive performance on Sunday, so of course the St. Louis Rams had to find a way to answer all afternoon. The Rams dialed up Kenny Britt's number as a result. Britt led the team with 11 targets, catching nine passes for 108 yards.
As usual, the box score has been fairly unpredictable for the Rams. Sometimes Stedman Bailey takes over. Other times the running game consumes the offense's production for the day. In Week 16, Britt was simply the receiver who stepped up. The Giants held the lead for the entire game, so quarterback Shaun Hill had to throw the ball 32 times.
Fantasy impact: Not much changes here from a fantasy perspective. Britt is always capable of games like this, but it rarely warrants trust for a repeat performance. The Rams will face the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, making Britt a WR4 for the final week of the season.
If fantasy owners have advanced to Week 17, it's unlikely the Britt is the reason. There's no reason to assume he'll contribute to a win for your entire fantasy season.
