Steelers vs. Bengals: Betting odds, spread, preview and prediction

Cincinnati hopes to keep lead in AFC North with win at home over Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are 11-4 SU and ATS in their last 15 games against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers could use an upset win in Cincinnati this Sunday to stay in the hunt for both the AFC North title and an AFC Wild Card spot.

Pittsburgh is a 3-point road underdog on Sunday at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com . Cincinnati's solid play of late and the Steelers' struggles on the road this season point to the Bengals at -3 as a good pick in this matchup despite what the computer thinks.

OddsShark Computer Prediction : Pittsburgh 28, Cincinnati 23.3

It looked like the Pittsburgh Steelers were gaining momentum in October with three straight wins at home against Houston, Indianapolis and Baltimore. Ben Roethlisberger had six touchdown passes in each of the Steelers' wins against the Colts and Ravens. But with a golden opportunity to gain more ground with three straight games against sub-.500 teams, Pittsburgh went 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS with outright losses to the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints. Pittsburgh is 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS in its last five divisional road games.

The Bengals host the Steelers at Paul Brown Stadium at 1:00pm ET on Sunday.

Cincinnati didn't look particularly sharp in a 14-13 win over Tampa Bay last Sunday, but the team was happy to tough out a win in its third straight game on the road. The Bengals are 5-1 SU and 3-2-1 ATS over their last six games with an impressive three straight wins on their three-game road trip. The team returns home this week where it is 9-3-1 ATS over its last 13 games as a favorite and 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games against division rivals.

The UNDER is 4-1 over the last five meetings between these two teams according to the OddsShark NFL Database , and 4-1 in Pittsburgh's last five divisional road games as well. Sunday's total is set at 47 points at the sportsbooks.

Pittsburgh has not looked good in divisional road games so far this season having been outscored 57-16 in blowout losses to Cleveland and Baltimore. Cincinnati's defense is playing well over the last month and should lead the Bengals to a win and cover as a 3-point home favorite.
