Somehow, the scrappy USC Trojans beat the mighty Dixie State Red Storm for four-star linebacker Porter Gustin's talents.
It's coming down to minutes for Porter Gustin! http://ift.tt/1Du8mlo

Here we have four power-conference schools and a small Great Northwest Athletic Conference school in St. George, Utah, about three hours away from Porter Gustin's hometown. Ohio State and USC offer two of the country's premier football programs, while D2 schools can't even offer half an FBS school's scholarships, let alone the rest of their resources.
What's that about? Salem Hills head coach Joel Higginson indicated it's because DSU was Gustin's first scholarship offer.
No matter the reason, everyone rooted for Dixie State:
Dixie State football is getting a big Twitter push because of a hat on a table? Cool, we will take the love. BTW, 1 in 5 shot…

Going to be in a meeting during Porter Gustin's College Announcement. If it's not going to be USC, let it be Dixie State. #FightOn
