Reggie Wayne practicing despite triceps injury, not a real fantasy option

Reggie Wayne is still practicing this week despite dealing with multiple lingering injuries. We break down the fantasy implications.

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne is practicing on Wednesday. It's usually his day of rest, but head coach Chuck Pagano says Wayne is "trying something a little different." He's tentatively expected to be ready for Sunday's Week 15 clash with the Houston Texans.

Wayne is suffering multiple injuries, including a torn triceps, that have sapped his production in recent weeks. Over the past three games, the veteran has recorded just eight catches for 46 yards, and he hasn't found the end zone since Week 9. He has also had a number of uncharacteristic drops. The 35-year-old has a 55-641-2 stat line through 12 games this year.

Fantasy impact: It sounds like Wayne is going to play, but he should see limited action. Look for rookie Donte Moncrief to eat into his snap counts this week. Wayne is nearing the end of the line and considering retirement after the season. He's not someone who can be trusted for the fantasy semifinals in 12-team leagues.
