Will LSU beat Georgia for a five-star cornerback recruit Wednesday?
LSU looks to be in position to keep another elite prospect home Wednesday as five-star cornerback recruit Donte Jackson is prepared to make his announcement. At 11:30 ET, the New Orleans Riverdale prospect will pick between the hometown Tigers and the Georgia Bulldogs. He also held offers from USC, Florida State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and other elite programs.
Jackson is a prospect who showcased impressive athleticism as a junior. But he really burst onto the scene with improved technique and cover ability, showcasing it during his senior year and in the Army All-American Bowl week.
Jackson is 5'11, 164 pounds, and is lightning quick with tremendous agility and a good vertical leap. He is not the biggest or strongest prospect, but has the potential to add weight at the college level in a strength program. He also has plus ability as a returner and on offense.
Jackson officially visited Georgia on MLK Jr. weekend, and has made several trips to LSU this season, with an official to Baton Rouge coming this weekend. He also officially visited USC over Thanksgiving weekend.
