Tiger's short game is a mess in his first round back at the Hero World Challenge.
There has been a lot of dissection on the swing alterations made by Tiger Woods in the almost four months away from the game. He's going back to an old motion with a new "consultant," Chris Como.
But the area of his game that may need the most work, especially after such a long layoff, is the short game work with the wedges and putter. He's missed a lot of fairways, but the wedges and chip shots have been the most ugly shots in his first round back. He completely chunked one early on the front nine.
And then he had the back-to-back misses from above on the 13th hole. It's never good when your ball rolls back to your feet. It was an admittedly tight lie, but that second chunk shot was about the worst you'll ever see from Tiger up around a green. Let's look at that again and gasp.
