Nick Foligno scores with six-tenths of a second left in first period

A rare stroke of good luck for the Blue Jackets.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been arguably the most unlucky team in the NHL in 2014-15, as a glut of injuries and bad bounces have kept them near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings all year. This misfortune undoubtedly made their first goal on Sunday even sweeter.

With six-tenths of a second left in the opening frame, Nick Foligno slipped the puck past Hurricanes netminder Anton Khudobin, giving Columbus a 1-0 lead.

Officials reviewed the play, and the video clearly shows Foligno's shot passing the goal line with time left on the clock.
