NHL schedule 2015: Kings face must-win game in Chicago

Los Angeles will certainly be scoreboard watching on Monday.

Four Western Conference teams will begin the week with games they must win if they wish to improve their chances of making the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The Los Angeles Kings surprisingly find themselves outside the playoffs with just a handful of games left in the season. They'll visit a Chicago Blackhawks team fresh off a huge win over the Winnipeg Jets that vaulted them back into the Central Division playoff scramble. The Kings haven't been nearly as successful on the road as they have at home this season, and the United Center is a notoriously difficult place to win in. There's a good chance the Kings let an important two points slip away from them.

And that's bad news considering the other important Western Conference matchup of the night. The Calgary Flames set up shop in Dallas as both teams fight to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Flames are the only thing keeping L.A. out of the playoffs at the moment, sitting just a single point ahead of them. Meanwhile, the Stars sit just four points back of Los Angeles in 10th place. Whoever wins will put even more pressure on Los Angeles to close out the season strong.
