The Patriots' receiver is coming off a letdown performance. Is he worth the start in Week 15?
New England Patriots' wide receiver Brandon LaFell had grown into his role with his new team and developed into a reliable target for quarterback Tom Brady. Through 11 games with significant snaps, LaFell has hauled in 57 passes for 753 yards , seven touchdowns and gone over 100 yards receiving twice. All four stats are career highs for the former Carolina Panthers player. While the Patriots have a plethora of viable receiving options on offense, LaFell has quickly established himself as the team's best wide receiver and best option behind tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Fantasy Impact: LaFell will have a tougher matchup this week in the Miami Dolphins. Their defense gives up the 12th-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Although he had a bit of a letdown performance last week, LaFell had caught four touchdowns over the previous five games and missed his third 100-yard game of the season by just two yards in Week 12. Owners can start LaFell as a lower-end WR2.
