Julius Thomas practicing again Thursday, fantasy arrow pointing up

Julius Thomas is close to finally contributing again after being hobbled by an ankle injury for nearly a month. We break down the fantasy implications.

Denver Broncos tight end Julius Thomas was able to practice on Thursday. He got only a limited session, but Thomas now has two straight days of practice, suggesting that he's on track to play a role in Sunday's Week 15 game against the San Diego Chargers.

Thomas has been dealing with a sprained ankle that forced him to miss two games. He was technically active in Week 14 but only as an emergency role, playing zero snaps in the 24-17 win over the Buffalo Bills. Through 10 games, Thomas has 40 catches for 426 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Fantasy impact: With his ankle closer to 100 percent, Thomas should finally start to see the field again. It couldn't come at a better time for fantasy owners with the playoff rounds underway. Even if Thomas is on a snap count, his red zone talents make him impossible to keep out of fantasy lineups. Consider him a high-end TE1 if he suits up.
