Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving appeared to injure his leg against the Oklahoma City Thunder with under two minutes left in the second quarter on Thursday night. The game was forced to pause as Irving stayed on the floor for several minutes before being helped to the locker room.

Update: Irving has a knee contusion but will return, according to TNT's Rachel Nichols:

The Thunder and Cavs are tied at 47 at halftime. Cleveland is already playing without LeBron James, who is sitting out with what the team is calling general soreness in his right knee. James helped Irving to the locker room after the injury:

Irving had nine points and three assists on 2-of-8 shooting at the time of the injury. With James sitting out, Irving's matchup with Russell Westbrook became the game's most intriguing head-to-head-battle. Westbrook finished the first half with 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
