NHL schedule 2014: Ducks, Maple Leafs highlight a full slate of games

Following back-to-back nights of light schedules, 22 NHL teams will be in action on Tuesday.

The Anaheim Ducks lead the NHL in points and will enter Tuesday riding a seven-game winning streak. That streak, however, will be put to a tough test on the road against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Toronto is riding a five-game winning streak of its own and the clash at the Air Canada Centre figures to be the highlight of a full schedule of games.

The Ducks haven't had much success in Toronto with just three wins on the road against the Maple Leafs in franchise history. Anaheim hasn't won in Toronto since 2008 and that is the Ducks' only win there since 2000. If Anaheim is going to pick up a fourth win in Toronto and keep its winning streak going, it will have to slow a potent Maple Leaf offense. Toronto leads the NHL in goals per game at 3.37.

While the focus may be in Toronto, there are several other good games on the schedule including the matchup between the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues in St. Louis. St. Louis is playing very good hockey as of late, while the Kings have stumbled some recently. The game on Tuesday will be an uphill battle for Los Angeles which hasn't been great on the road and will be going against a strong home team in the Blues.

The red hot Blackhawks will also be on the ice, hosting the Minnesota Wild. Chicago had a long winning streak snapped recently, but has still won nine of its last 10 games. Here is a complete look at the schedule on Tuesday. All times Eastern.
