NHL schedule 2014: Kings continue road swing in Montreal

The defending champs take on one of the NHL's most storied franchises.

The Eastern Conference road swing could not have gone any better than it has for the Los Angeles Kings. The defending champions continue their East Coast road trip by visiting Montreal on a high note on Thursday.

The Kings swept both games against the Habs last season, and will be looking for similar results as the Canadiens work through their struggles while the Kings come to town. Fortunately for the Canadiens, the Kings aren't exactly riding flawlessly lately either, with two losses coming before their big win in Ottawa on Thursday.

Elsewhere, the NHL-best Anaheim Ducks visit the NHL-worst Edmonton Oilers at Rexall Place. Defeating Anaheim will surely do wonders for an Oilers squad desperate for any type of motivation at this stage.

Here is a complete look at the Friday slate. All game times are Eastern.
