Eddie Lacy injury update: Packers RB probable; should play for fantasy owners

Running back Eddie Lacy is probable for Sunday with a hip injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy is officially listed as probable for Week 15 against the Buffalo Bills. Lacy is dealing with a hip injury that forced him out of Monday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, but the probable designation is supposed to denote a 75 percent chance of playing. Head coach Mike McCarthy said there isn't a huge concern that Lacy could miss Sunday's game against Buffalo.

Lacy carried the ball 13 times for 73 yards and a touchdown against the Falcons, and added five receptions for 33 yards and another touchdown. In other words, he was playing well before he went down with an injury, and has been playing well all season. He's got 188 carries for 843 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground, with 36 receptions for 385 yards and four touchdowns through the air.

Fantasy Impact: It's sounding more and more like Lacy could have played if absolutely necessary in the latter parts of Monday's game. The game wound up being closer than expected, but the Packers were essentially in control for the majority of the action. Lacy will play on Sunday, barring any unlikely setbacks, and should be started against the Bills.
