Josh Gordon disappointed a lot of fantasy owners last week. Should they have faith in him with Johnny Manziel running the show?
The Cleveland Browns are suddenly the most talked-about team in the NFL, and you know why. Quarterback Johnny Manziel is going to start and this game against the Cincinnati Bengals will be the main national game in the early afternoon.
What does that mean for Josh Gordon? Well, Manziel did like to throw the ball down the field in college with receiver Mike Evans, so there should be a lot of chances for the big play. Manziel's desire to win the game on every play should bode very well and Gordon's long speed should help him catch a deep ball.
On the downside, he's coming off a bad week with just two catches for 15 yards against the cornerback Vontae Davis-less Indianapolis Colts defense. Gordon will likely see a lot of single coverage because the Bengals figure to blitz a lot and put pressure on the rookie quarterback.
Fantasy impact: The ceiling is just too high to bench him. He is a top-eight play this week in all formats.
