The Bears' wide receiver is set for an increased role. Is he worth the start in Week 15?
Chicago Bears' wide receiver Marquess Wilson is in line for a dramatically increased role this week. Brandon Marshall is done for the season with a collapsed lung which hoists Wilson into the starting role opposite Alshon Jeffery. Wilson has never caught more than two passes in his two-year career with the Bears. His most recent and noteworthy production came in his sophomore year at Washington State. He finished the year with 82 receptions for 1,388 yards and 12 touchdowns. He quit the team his junior year, accusing head coach Mike Leach of abusive conduct. Wilson now has a tremendous opportunity to give himself a name.
Fantasy Impact: Wilson has the luxury of a favorable match up this week in the New Orleans Saints. Their defense gives up the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Taking over Brandon Marshall's role, Wilson should see plenty of targets. Despite his limited sample size, there's enough upside to start the 6'4 Wilson as a WR3 with upside.
