Steve Kerr is in charge of coaching his ex-teammate and a potential block in the Warriors' chances of success. He will do his worst.
As the coach of the team with the NBA's best record, Steve Kerr gets to coach the Western Conference All-Star team. That makes him Tim Duncan's coach. Gregg Popovich likes to get Duncan rest in the regular season so the 38-year-old future Hall-of-Famer can be fresh for the playoffs. STEVE KERR AIN'T PLAYIN' THAT:

We assume Kerr is joking, but he's really insistent on it. There's a small chance he's totally serious, and is 100 percent intent on running his former Spurs teammate ragged during meaningless practices and an exhibition game.
Kerr played alongside Duncan in the twilight of his career, from 1999-2001 and again in 2002-03, winning championships in the '99 and '03 seasons.
