Fantasy football waiver wire, Week 16: Jerricho Cotchery finds the end zone

It was the receiver's first touchdown of the year. We break down the fantasy implications.

A year after 10 touchdowns with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery had gone all season without a score before Sunday. Cotchery found the end zone for the first time of the season this week in the Panthers' 19-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Cotchery caught five passes Sunday for 47 yards and his touchdown, a 2-yarder early in the third quarter that gave Carolina the lead for good. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin and tight end Greg Olsen both had more than 100 yards in the game, giving the team a three-headed pass-catching monster in the game.

Fantasy impact: The only real fantasy contributors catching passes in Carolina are Olsen and Benjamin; Cotchery's targets and usage are just too low to count on him if he's not finding the end zone, and there's not much reason to believe Sunday's score is a harbinger of more scores down the stretch.

Cotchery isn't worth a fantasy roster spot, and doesn't look likely to be unless something happens to Benjamin and/or Olsen.
