Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 17: Coby Fleener

The Colts tight end has been solid in his second season. Is he worth the start in Week 17?

Indianapolis Colts tight end Coby Fleener has slowed down the pace in recent weeks but has generally filled in admirably when called upon this year. Through 15 games, Fleener has hauled in 46 passes for 718 yards and six touchdowns, with two games over 100 yards receiving. He's only averaging 41.3 yards per game over the last three weeks, but he's received 22 targets in that time so the opportunities are there. With Dwayne Allen set to miss Week 17, Fleener will once again see a healthy amount of targets from quarterback Andrew Luck.

Fantasy Impact: Fleener won't have to deal with a particularly intimidating matchup this week in the Tennessee Titans. Their mediocre defense gives up the 14th-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. The good news for fantasy owners is that head coach Chuck Pagano has already said that the starters will play in an effort to build some momentum after Indy's shellacking by the Dallas Cowboys last week. Fleener will remain involved in the offense and offers back-end TE1 value with moderate upside.
