Fantasy start/sit advice, Week 17: Marquess Wilson

Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson has been solid in the starting role. Is he worth the start in Week 17?

Chicago Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson had the best game of his short career last week against the Detroit Lions, finishing with seven receptions for 66 yards. While he couldn't contribute another touchdown like he did the week before, it was an all-around solid performance against a unit that gives up the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Unfortunately, Wilson pulled this off with Jimmy Clausen under center last week. Clausen suffered a concussion last week and Jay Cutler is expected to return to the starting lineup.

Fantasy Impact: Wilson has a much easier matchup this week in the Minnesota Vikings. Their middle-of-the-pack secondary gives up the 15th-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. While Cutler is a better quarterback than Clausen, it could be tough for Wilson to build on the little chemistry that the two have developed. He remains on the WR3 radar but there isn't a ton of upside.
