Roberto Martinez wants to strengthen his attack, and this would be a great way to do it.
Manchester United need to find a way to get Adnan Januzaj more playing time without reducing their attacking stars' impact. Everton need a boost in attack. Seems like a match made in heaven right?
The Manchester Evening News certainly thinks so, strongly linking the 19 year old Belgian starlet with a loan move to the blue side of Liverpool, with Roberto Martinez keen to add the tricky midfielder to his side to boost a wildly inconsistent Everton attack. It's a move that makes a lot of sense on the surface, but it won't be easy to pull off.
The Manchester paper believes Januzaj will have to ask his way in to getting a loan, especially after Louis Van Gaal already blocked a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the window. He feels Januzaj is key to the depth of his side, though the Belgian has barely played in recent months. He did start at the weekend again Leicester, but that was his first league start since November 8th, and only his fourth all-competitions appearance since then.
It would be a valuable move to both teams to get done, but managers can be tricky when it comes to giving up depth. There's plenty of time left to get a deal done, though Everton might want to look in to secondary targets just in case.
