Borussia Dortmund vs. Juventus 2015 results: Bianconeri record easy 3-0 win

Juventus dominated away at the Westfalenstadion.

Juventus booked their place in the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in almost a decade with a brilliant 3-0 win away at Borussia Dortmund. That result ensured a massive 5-1 aggregate win, with their German hosts never looking like causing the Italian champions any problems.

Indeed, it took just three minutes for Juve to open the scoring, with Carlos Tevez unleashing a rocket from the edge of the box that arrowed straight into the top corner. Roman Weidenfeller's slow reaction was perhaps a little suspect, but there's no doubting that it was as sweet a strike as you'll see in this year's tournament.

The goal meant Dortmund no longer had to score just one to progress, but two to merely avoid elimination. Alas, their response was rather unimpressive, and Juve's defence proved to be more than solid enough to keep them at bay. Not even an injury to Paul Pogba rocked the visitors, who threw on Andrea Barzagli in response and reverted to a solid back three.

As halftime approached, Juve seemed to be in cruise control, tapping the ball around the final third without a care in the world. Neither Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp nor the home crowd were impressed, and the players left the field at the whistle to frustrated jeers.

Things didn't get much better early in the second half, and Juve could've killed the game off within five minutes. A fine through-ball from Tevez sent his strike partner Álvaro Morata through on goal, though the young Spaniard was denied in a one-on-one with Weidenfeller. It was the same story a few minutes later, when again the veteran shot-stopper had to beat a low Morata shot to safety.

Juve were undoubtedly in the ascendency, with BVB playing with an alarming lack of urgency. Past the hour Klopp looked to shake his side up by throwing Adrián Ramos and Jakub Błaszczykowski into the action, though without any effect.

With 20 minutes remaining, Juve finally put Dortmund out of their misery with a second goal. Tevez spun in behind Neven Subotić far too easily, and simply rolled the ball across for Morata to tap into an open goal. It was deserved for the bianconeri, who more than merited their very healthy aggregate lead.

Insult was added to injury for the hosts with 10 minutes left on the clock, when Tevez sealed his brace. A cutting pass from his compatriot Roberto Pereyra gave him the space he needed to smash the ball past Weidenfeller for 3-0 on the night; the finish almost as emphatic as Juve's victory.

Borussia Dortmund: Weidenfeller; Schmelzer (Kirch 46'), Hummels, Subotić, Papastathopoulos; Gündoğan, Bender (Ramos 63'); Reus, Mkhitaryan (Błaszczykowski 63'), Kampl; Aubameyang.

Goals: None.

Juventus: Buffon; Evra, Chiellini, Bonucci, Lichtsteiner; Pogba (Barzagli 27'), Marchisio, Vidal; Pereyra; Morata (Matri 78'), Tevez.

Goals: Tevez (3', 80'), Morata (70').
