The Ravens receiver has picked up his play recently. Is he worth starting in Week 13?
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith has proven to be a tough fantasy play to trust. In any given week, owners have no idea which Smith is going to show up, the guy that caught a total of five passes for 85 yards and no touchdowns over the first three weeks or the guy who has now has caught five touchdowns over the last six weeks. Smith has shown some encouraging signs in recent weeks, averaging 4.7 catches per game in the last three weeks compared to the first eight games where he only hauled in more than three passes once.
Fantasy Impact: Smith has a decent match up this week in the San Diego Chargers. Their mediocre secondary gives up the 15th-least fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Smith's recently production has forces owners to give him serious starting consideration. However, in Week 13 which has playoff implications for many owners, Smith can't be trusted as more than a boom-or-bust WR3.
