How to earn a penalty: kick your own foot

This is one of the strangest penalty decisions you'll ever see.

We go to the Greek second division, where apparently you can earn a penalty by kicking your own plant foot out from under yourself while trying to shoot with no opposing player within reach.

Outside of the shocking decision to award the penalty -- and the poor choice of the team that "earned" the penalty to score it instead of booting over in the interest of fair play -- it's actually kind of impressive. You have to screw up really badly to kick your own plant leg on a shot like that, and then his scuffed strike of the ball actually went backwards. The guy who did that should probably consider spending some extra time in practice this week working on his shooting so he doesn't do that again.
