NHL Saturday: Panthers host Bruins in important wild card battle

The Panthers and Bruins jockey for the final wild card spot as the Senators keep charging behind them in Toronto.

As a defenseman, Erik Karlsson is a freak of nature. The Ottawa Senators captain is ridiculously fast, able to cover swaths of ice to score as quickly as a cheetah racing down its prey.

Don't believe me? Then you didn't see his goal on Saturday. With the Senators already up a goal, Karlsson managed to finish off a breakout play with a goal after starting from behind his own net.

We've got visual evidence. When the breakout started, Karlsson was behind his own net while the puck was already at the blue line.

Then, only THREE SECONDS LATER, Karlsson caught up with his teammates and received the puck at the other end of the ice.

That's unbelievable speed, the kind only Karlsson can pull off.
