Paul Millsap to return from shoulder injury for regular-season finale

Millsap will shake some rust off in Game 82 before the Hawks head into the postseason.

Atlanta Hawks forward Paul Millsap will suit up and be in the starting lineup for the team's season finale against the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday, reports Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Millsap had missed the previous five games due to a shoulder injury, but will use the final game of the season as a tune-up for the playoffs.

That's good news for Atlanta, which will rest its other starters after clinching the top seed weeks ago. It's also great news for the Toronto Raptors, who need a Bulls loss to have a chance at the No. 3 seed. The Hawks will be that much more dangerous with Millsap out there, so Chicago will have its hands full as it tries to lock down the No. 3 spot.

Millsap had been playing great for the Hawks before the injury, earning his first All-Star appearance as a key contributor on the East's best team. He's averaged nearly 17 points, eight rebounds, three assists and two steals in 72 games this season, displaying his versatility on both sides of the court.

The Hawks initially listed Millsap as questionable for Wednesday after he participated in practice Tuesday, but now he's not listed on the injury report at all. If Chicago wants to clinch the third seed, it'll have to weather an Atlanta team that's less shorthanded than expected.
