Every important NFL free agency rumor in one place

Keep up with the latest from the NFL rumor mill.

NFL free agency officially started Tuesday, March 10 at 4 p.m. ET. Teams didn't wait that long to get a head start on the offseason. General managers have busied themselves making roster cuts, negotiating with their own free agents and creating a little buzz on the rumor mill with trade talk.

The wildest news cycle in recent NFL history got underway with the completely unforeseen deal sending LeSean McCoy from the Eagles to the Bills in exchange for Kiko Alonso. It was off the races after that. The free agency tampering window, er, negotiating period, opened on Saturday, March 7, and the rumor mill has been cranking overtime since then, interrupted only by a long string of tweets from the various NFL insiders delivering shocking news about trades and signings and contracts and everything else that makes pro football's version of the hot stove so darn fun.

At any rate, it can be a lot to monitor when your Twitter feed is moving fast enough to generate electricity and one report would seemingly contradict the next one. That's why we have our handy rumor tracker, for you, the excited fan who only wants to see your team do something to make itself a little better next season. So follow along with the endless flow of information and speculation.

For the free agent signings, we're keeping tabs on those over here, right down to the long snappers and third-string guards.

From the rumor mill:

April 20: Stevie Brown says he has multiple offers, but it sounds like he wants to return to the Giants and could re-up with the team rather than join a new squad next season.

April 19: Safety Stevie Brown is considering five to six offers, and should make a decision on which team to sign with "soon." The Raiders are one team that has shown interest in Brown, who played in Oakland his rookie year after the team selected him in the seventh round of the 2010 draft. The Falcons, who are in need of safety help, are also rumored to have offered Brown, while the Cowboys denied any interest.

April 18: Wide receiver Greg Jennings left his visit with the Saints. He's one of the top remaining free agents, and the Saints were reportedly his final visit, so a decision could be coming soon.

April 16: Offensive tackle Anthony Collins could get a second chance with the Bengals, depending on the results of the upcoming draft. Collins hasn't received much interest on the free agent market after a disappointing season in Tampa.

April 16: Chris Johnson is readying his return to the NFL, and he is "in talks" with multiple teams, according to TMZ. Johnson says he's good to go, though no specific teams are mentioned.

April 15: Veteran defensive end Corey Wootton is expected to meet with the Saints on Wednesday, sources told Katherine Terrell of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

April 15: WR and special teamer Brad Jones visited Buffalo, where he played in 2011 and 2012. He spent the past two seasons with the Eagles.

April 14: Greg Jennings is adding up the frequent flyer miles. After a visit with the Jaguars, he will visit the Saints.

April 13: It now sounds like Michael Crabtree will sign with the Raiders, a week after conducting a visit with the team. It's not official just yet, though.

April 13: Hakeem Nicks is visiting with the Tennessee Titans.

April 13: Michael Crabtree is probably the top player left on the open market, and all of the Raiders, Dolphins and Ravens have shown the most interest in signing him. The Raiders could also be the favorites in landing him.

April 13: After visiting the Dolphins last week and leaving with no deal, Greg Jennings is back in Florida, this time meeting with the Jaguars.

April 13: Byron Bell is visiting the Titans a few days after working out for the Chiefs.

April 13: Former Giants CB Zack Bowman is in Miami for a visit, and he very well could leave with a deal.

April 12: The Eagles are reportedly working on a long-term extension with restricted free agent Cedric Thornton. The defensive end has yet to sign his one-year tender.

April 11: It's "highly unlikely" that the Colts re-sign running back Ahmad Bradshaw. Bradshaw is still recovering from an injury and has not drawn any interest from other teams.

April 10: Offensive lineman Byron Bell worked out for the Chiefs on Wednesday but no deal is imminent.

April 10: Adam Caplan says he's hearing rumors that ILB Joe Mays will be a Jet very soon.

April 9: It seems unlikely that the Lions will try to match the offer sheet that George Johnson signed with the Buccaneers. That deal will pay him $9 million and the Lions neglected to tender him at a high pick, so matching that doesn't seem likely.

April 9: Formers Bears cornerback Charles Tillman was in Charlotte on Thursday and is expected to sign with the Panthers.

April 8: Dawan Landry is visited the Bills Wednesday, per Rand Getlin.

April 8: The Raiders signed restricted free agent Sean Richardson from the Packers. Green Bay will have a chance to match the offer thanks to a tender slapped on him, although it wouldn't mean the Packers are owed a pick.

April 8: Tight end Rob Housler already visited the Bengals and Falcons, and now it's the Browns that will host the former Cardinals player on Wednesday.

April 8: Former Broncos, Texans and Chiefs linebacker Joe Mays is reportedly receiving interest from the Jets.

April 8: The Buccaneers snagged restricted free agent George Johnson from the Lions on a three-year deal, but Detroit still has the chance to match the offer.

April 7: Stevan Ridley is going to chat it up with Jay Gruden when he visits Washington. Does he fit in Gruden's plans?
