CIT Tournament 2015 bracket: The field is set in 32-team playoff

NJIT Highlanders fans are in luck.

The CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament, or the CIT, is one of a few consolation tournaments for teams that weren't fortunate enough to make the 68-team field in the NCAA Tournament. After the bracket for the nation's most prestigious tournament was set, the CIT field was announced a few hours later on Sunday.

Unlike the NCAA Tournament and NIT, the 32-team CIT doesn't have a set bracket that can be projected ahead of time. After the first round of the tournament, the second round of matchup will be set and so on, until the tournament's championship game on April 2.

The first round of the tournament will begin on Tuesday, March 17 and all 31 CIT games will be played on campus sites.

Those teams will kick off the tournament on Monday with the rest of the first-round matchups set for Tuesday and Wednesday. The tournament won't waste any time with the second round scheduled for Friday and Saturday. The quaterfinals will be held on March 25-27 with the semifinals on April 1 and the championship game on April 3. The two semifinal games and the championship tilt will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
