The Red Wings' power play is not faring well this afternoon.
The Boston Bruins entered Sunday's contest against the Detroit Red Wings three short-handed goals behind the NHL lead. In less than two periods, they moved within a single mark of first.
Brad Marchand opened up the scoring with a four-on-five tally in the opening frame, and with 8:16 left in the second, Daniel Paille converted on the penalty kill to give Boston a 3-1 lead.
Paille now has three goals in his last six games.
