Good morning. The Dragic Revenge Game turned into a wrasslin' match.

That and more in Tuesday's NBA newsletter. SUBSCRIBE!

Good morning. Let's basketball.

LET'S WRASSLE: Oh man. So the Heat faced the Suns, which means DRAGIC REVENGE GAME except it was apparently a Phoenix revenge game? Whatever the case, Markieff Morris fouled Goran Dragic hard on a breakaway, drawing a Flagrant 2 and getting himself booted. This did not lead to a Zoran and Marcus duel to the death at center court, Thank God.

Later in the game Hassan Whiteside did a couple of double judo chop motions on his dunk follow-throughs while jamming on Alex Len. Alex Len did not appreciate it and attempted to throw Whiteside away. Whiteside did not appreciate that and tried to tackle Len. The officials did not appreciate that and ejected both.

The Heat won because Tyler Johnson dropped 26. I promise you I am not the only one who woke up this morning wondering "Who the Hades is Tyler Johnson?"

THE REST OF LAST NIGHT IN 34 SECONDS: The Nets beat the Warriors on a Jarrett Jack pull-up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Nerlens Noel should be known as The Eraser, just ask Jonas Valanciunas! The Raptors crushed the Sixers, though. The Clippers edged the Wolves as Kevin Garnett and Austin Rivers jawed at each other ("Your dad is really great!" "I know, you idiot.") and Big Baby Davis got in a very mature videobomb. The Mavericks stopped the Pelicans thanks to, uh, Richard Jefferson.

See our NBA Scores hub for full coverage of all of that.

A CONVERSATION ABOUT CONVERSATIONS: You may remember that last week players' union boss Michele Roberts took heat for her comments on what the media does in the locker room. She had a conversation with our Sarah Kogod about that, and it's really illuminating. It certainly appears that SK was able to shed light on the situation for Roberts. Proof that conversation is good.

HOW TO END ONE-AND-DONE IN 13 DIFFICULT STEPS: I wrote a comprehensive plan to reform draft rules and how the NBA interacts with the D-League. It also involves renaming the D-League to the B-League. Some bits are more important than others.

OH MY: Check out this lady completely losing her mind in anticipation of an open-court LeBron dunk. Amazing.

ORIGIN STORY: Let's talk about Michael Carter-Williams' journey, which included suggestions he was Division III material!

BARS INSTEAD OF BARS: This Sam Amick piece on Damian Lillard's interest in music is just excellent.

OH NO! Drew Garrison's Power Rankings came out Monday morning, then the Warriors went and lost to the Nets to wrap up a brutal road trip.

ALWAYS GREAT: David Aldridge's Morning Tip.

HIGH ART: James Harden drew a 1-game suspension for kicking LeBron in the groin on Sunday. So Dan Rubenstein showed us the best nutshots in recorded NBA history.

PARKER ON PARKER: Tony Parker opens up to Marc Spears about why he hasn't looked like himself this season.

WE HAVE BEEF: SportsCenter anchor/national hero Robert Flores pulled off a stupendous diss of Iggy Azalea. Her beau Nick Young tweeted his retorts. As I said, conversation is good.

WELL! Russell Westbrook is doing things on the court not seen in decades.

ALRIGHT THEN: Langston Galloway clutch buckets are responsible for a third of the Knicks' wins.

WHERE'S THE LINE? Judd Legum wrote a pretty interesting piece for ThinkProgress on the professionalization of fourth-graders with respect to LeBron James, Jr. highlight reels. It includes heavy quotes from Pulitzer Prize winner George Dohrmann that equates the youth sports machine to child abuse. The point is that while Prince James will likely be protected by his dad's knowledge and stature, the other kids appearing on 2023 draft class rankings will not. The point is that 4th-graders should not be receiving college offers, because that places an incredible amount of pressure on the kids. And that's all fair.

At the same time, I find it relatively harmless that the world is interested in seeing Prince James highlight reels. The son of the greatest player on the planet happens to play like his father and is an electric on-court presence at like 4-foot-5 or whatever. It's pretty amazing. Can't we appreciate potential greatness without ruining lives? I think we can.

FASHION IS DANGER: I'm very proud to have contributed to GQ's NBA Style A-to-Z package. I wrote about why y'all are sleeping on Tim Duncan's fashion sense.

SURE: Mark Cuban will star as the President in Sharknado 3.. So it's a dystopia, I see.

NOOOOOOO: Jimmy Butler is out 3-6 weeks.

STEPH ON CANDY, TOMBOYS AND TATTOOS: James Herbert is just a great interviewer, and he gets some interesting lines from Stephen Curry.

HUH: Really interesting piece by Seth Davis on college basketball's offensive decline.

YIKESVILLE: A 1979 feature on Hubie Brown has some pretty troubling anecdotes and quotes. Yes, it was 1979 in Atlanta. But still.

TRUTH: Paul Pierce on the clutch miss that still haunts him. (The Players' Tribune is pretty great.)

Happy Tuesday. See you next time.
