A last lap pass of Kurt Busch gave Brad Keselowski the victory Sunday.
The Stewart-Haas Racing duo of Kurt Busch and Kevin Harvick dominated, but when Sunday's race concluded Brad Keselowski was celebrating in Victory Lane at Auto Club Speedway.
Busch led a race-high 65 laps, but on the final circuit Keselowski powered under Busch off Turn 2 to take a lead he wouldn't relinquish. Harvick finished second, followed by Busch, Paul Menard and Ryan Newman.
The win is Keselowski's first of the season and assures him a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. Prior to Sunday, Keselowski described ACS as his "worst track," as he had never finished better than 18th in six starts.
"I think we kinda stole one, today," Keselowski said.
By finishing runner-up, Harvick extended his streak of consecutive top-two finishes to eight races dating back to last season. The defending Sprint Cup champion has a pair of wins and three seconds in five 2015 starts.
Busch appeared headed for the win, but with one lap remaining a caution for debris necessitated a green-white-checkered finish. On the subsequent restart, Busch was again leading when a second yellow flag flew for a deck lid on the backstretch. That caution setup the deciding restart where Keselowski passed Busch to claim victory.
