NCAA Women's Tournament 2015 bracket and schedule: Elite Eight begins on Sunday

The first two spots in the Final Four will be secured on Saturday.

There are only eight teams still playing in the Women's NCAA Tournament and that number will drop by two on Sunday with the first two Elite Eight matchups. While tournament favorite Connecticut won't play for its spot in the Final Four until Monday, a pair of No. 1 seeds will be in action on Sunday.

No. 1 South Carolina, fresh off a two-point escape against North Carolina, will play No. 2 Florida State for a spot in the Final Four. The Gamecocks have been back on the winning track recently, following an early March loss to Kentucky. South Carolina won five of its last six games by at least 16 points with the 67-65 win against North Carolina the only close contest. Florida State has been equally impressive with just four losses on the year, three of which came to ranked teams. Like South Carolina, FSU barely escaped the Sweet 16, recording a 66-65 win against Arizona State. The teams come in relatively even matched offensively, at least in simple terms of points per game. FSU averages 75.7 PPG while USC checks in right behind at 75.5 PPG.

The second game of the night will be an Elite Eight rematch from last season when No. 1 Notre Dame takes on No. 2 Baylor. The Fighting Irish prevailed last year -- in front of a home crowd in South Bend -- to advance to the Final Four. The Bears will attempt to avenge that loss and will do so with Big 12 Player of the Year Nina Davis. Notre Dame has just two losses on the season and is riding a 20-game winning streak. Baylor has lost just three times and outside of back-to-back losses late in the conference season, the Bears have looked like a dominant squad.

The games will begin in the afternoon with Baylor and Notre Dame set for primetime. Here is the complete schedule for Sunday. All times Eastern.
