Andrew Siciliano of the NFL Network has seen some pretty unlikely things as part of his job, but happening to be on the golf course when Harrison Ford crashed his plane will probably trump them all. While Siciliano wasn't on the 8th hole when it happened, he arrived quickly and his photos are astonishing.
That is a definitely a plane in front of the 8th green at Penmar in Venice. Pilot allegedly walked away. Wow. http://ift.tt/1w8G0hY

Ford was flying a vintage WWII plane and had to make an emergency landing after having engine troubles.
Here's another one. Just in front of the green. Pilot was allegedly circling back to Santa Monica after takeoff. http://ift.tt/1DQOXd9

It's miraculous that he managed to land just beyond a stand of trees.

Ford took a serious jolt, but is incredibly lucky that nothing more happened. It seems he executed the perfect landing given the circumstances.
I did not witness the plane crash. I arrived shortly thereafter. Sincere best wishes to Harrison Ford for a speedy recovery.

Credit the pilot. It’s a miracle he was able to land that plane on a golf course in such a densely populated residential neighborhood.

Ford will make a full recovery, which is a testament to the kind of pilot he is.
