Both the Penguins and Wings want to forget what happened on Saturday.
The Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins will each get a chance at redemption on national television on Sunday. The kicker is that only one of them will actually achieve it.
Detroit visits the Steel City hoping to put their loss on Saturday as far behind them as possible. The Red Wings are fresh off a 7-2 rout at the hands of the Philadelphia Flyers, a team well below them in the Eastern Conference standings. For a team that hasn't locked down a playoff spot yet, the loss was both embarrassing and critical.
Meanwhile, the Penguins are looking to bounce back from a loss in Boston that they weren't exactly prepared for. Pittsburgh lost both Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin right off the bat against the Bruins, which undoubtedly knocked them off their game. Whether either returns against Detroit is still up for debate.
