Paul Pogba picks up injury against Borussia Dortmund

The Frenchman appears to have tweaked his hamstring.

Juventus have suffered a big blow midway through the first half of their Champions League round of 16 second leg against Borussia Dortmund, with star midfielder Paul Pogba withdrawn due to injury. The Frenchman collided with BVB's makeshift right-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos, and appeared to tweak his hamstring in the process. He was able to limp off, but he could be set for a short stint on the sidelines.

Pogba is undoubtedly the jewel in Juve's crown, having established himself as the world's best young midfielder since arriving from Manchester United a few seasons ago. He leaves a void that the side will be unable to fill.

Interestingly, Coach Allegri responded to the injury by bringing on center-back Andrea Barzagli. As a result, Juve have shifted to their trusty back three, having started the game in a 4-4-2 diamond. It's a pretty conservative decision, and one that could well come back to haunt the Italian champions. Then again, they are currently 3-1 up on aggregate, which is a pretty healthy margin to defend.
