Asia Ford had a goal: She just wanted to finish the Rodes City Run in Louisville. When she began to struggle at mile four it seemed that goal would go unrealized, until a police officer helped her finish the race.
Louisville Metro Police Lt. Aubrey Gregory noticed the woman was having a hard time and got out his car to offer motivation. He wasn't going to let her quit. Going so far as to take her hand and walk the rest of the race he did what it took to help the mother reach the finish line and prove to her son, and herself that anything is possible.
Asia began her weight loss journey when her husband lost a limb to diabetes. She wanted to make sure she was there for her kids and lost weight, which was once up to 475 pounds. The race was the next step in her weight loss challenge. The city took notice with the Mayor proud of what he witnessed.
