The Jets and Kings, tied in the Western Conference standings, are both in action Monday night.
The Los Angeles Kings enter Monday's action in a playoff spot, but that could quickly change.
If the Kings lose to Vancouver and Winnipeg gains a point, the Jets will leapfrog the Kings for eighth place in the Western Conference. Each has played 78 games and has 92 points in the standings.
Indeed, it's strange to see the reigning Stanley Cup champions fighting for their lives in the last week of the regular season. It's even stranger to think that they might miss out while Calgary, now in seventh with 93 points, could make the dance.
On Monday night, Los Angeles will take on Vancouver, losers of two in a row. Winnipeg is slated to face off against Minnesota, who is 7-2-1 in its last 10.
Here is Monday's full schedule. All times are Eastern.
