One of the top defensive tackles in a strong Texas class is back on the market.
One of the hottest prospects in the state of Texas is officially available once again after Houston Westside defensive tackle Jordan Elliott decommitted from the Baylor Bears on Monday evening:

The 6'4, 305-pound Elliott told SB Nation Recruiting in March that he was "solid" to Baylor and called the defense "a perfect fit" for him. However, his willingness to take visits at that time suggested that his pledge wasn't 100 percent solid to the Bears -- after committing to head coach Art Briles and his staff during a Junior Day visit on January 31, Elliott took visits to Texas A&M and Texas.
At the Dallas The Opening regional camp back in March, Elliott said that he also plans on visiting Alabama, Florida State and Michigan. Elliott also recently picked up an offer from USC and the Trojans could heavily factor into his recruitment, according to those associated with the Baylor program.
Ranked as a consensus four-star prospect, Elliott is the No. 93 player in America, the No. 12 defensive tackle and the No. 12 prospect in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. 247Sports has him even higher, slotting him as the No. 33 player in America, the No. 8 defensive tackle and the No. 6 player in Texas.
Elliott burst onto the Texas recruiting scene as a junior by recording 63 tackles, 31 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. As a result, he now holds offers from 25 schools, including Alabama, California, Florida, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M and Washington, among others.
