Duke vs. North Carolina betting preview and matchup stats

After playing a thrilling overtime game back in February, Duke and North Carolina clash again this Saturday in Chapel Hill.

The Duke Blue Devils are 10-0 SU and 6-4 ATS over their last 10 games. The Blue Devils face one more big test before the ACC Tournament this Saturday visiting the North Carolina Tar Heels at the Dean E. Smith Center.

Duke is one of the top contenders to win the NCAA Tournament this season at 17/2 according to sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com . In what will be the team's last true road test of the season, Duke will try to stay hot heading into the postseason with a big road win on Saturday.

Averaging 17.8 points per game, Jahlil Okafor is the leader of one of the best offenses in the country. Duke ranks fourth in the nation in scoring with 81.2 points per game, also getting good production out of Quinn Cook (15.8 PPG), Justise Winslow (12.4 PPG), and Tyus Jones (11.4 PPG) on offense. Since January 17 the Blue Devils are 6-1 SU and 4-3 ATS in seven road games including two outright upsets over Louisville and Virginia.

The Tar Heels are 3-1 SU and ATS over their last four games. The team appears to be getting back on track after going 7-5 SU and 3-8-1 ATS on the college basketball odds over its previous 12 games. North Carolina's offense is also one of the best in the country ranking 16th in the nation and averaging 78.2 points per game. North Carolina is just 1-4 SU and 2-3 ATS in its last five games against ranked opponents.

Each of the last two games in this series have soared OVER the posted total. The UNDER had been 9-2 in the previous 11 games between Duke and North Carolina according to the OddsShark College Basketball Database .

Duke holds a 9-3 SU advantage over North Carolina in the last 12 games of this head-to-head series while the ATS record over that stretch is split at 6-6 ATS apiece. The Blue Devils have been playing great of late and should be able to pass this road test, but if the 92-90 overtime thriller between these two teams in their last meeting was any indication, it won't be an easy one for Duke.
