This championship game will be bananas.
After two crazy games in the Big 12 semifinals, the No. 9 Kansas Jayhawks and No. 13 Iowa State Cyclones will meet Saturday night in Kansas City for the Big 12 title. And it's going to be absolutely nuts.
Iowa State brings a balanced attack between Monte Morris and Georges Niang that will challenge a Kansas team hosting Perry Ellis, Frank Mason Jr., Kelly Oubre and more.
The Cyclones (24-8 12-6) have won four straight games heading into Saturday, while Kansas has a two-game winning streak. The two teams split their two meetings this year, with Iowa State winning 86-81 in Ames on January 17, and Kansas prevailing 89-76 in Lawrence on Feb. 2.
Iowa State won the Big 12 Tournament in 2014, but Kansas has won six of the last nine tournament title, along with 11 straight regular season conference titles.
The Big 12 Championship game will air Saturday night at 6 p.m. on ESPN, with Brent Musberger, Fran Fraschilla and Holly Rowe on the call.
