Tiger Woods can't stop making birdies at the Masters

The four-time Masters winner now has four birdies in his first eight holes and looks nothing like the player we've seen from the past year.

It is happening. Tiger Woods is looking like the old Tiger Woods through his first nine in the Masters third round.

After posting three birdies in his first four holes, Woods continued to stripe his irons and drop his approach shots right on top of the flagstick. He picked up his fourth birdie of the day at the par-5 8th hole, and he's on-track to go out in 32. He's now 6-under for the tournament and in the TOP FIVE.

To give you an indication of just how hot he's running right now, Tiger's score through these first eight holes could have been even better. He lipped out for an eagle and had to settle for a birdie. He also struck two darts at the sixth and seventh holes, but missed two birdie putts from inside 10 feet.

So, yes, this is vintage Tiger right now. Whether it has any affect on runaway leader Jordan Spieth is a separate matter.
