This was a nasty-looking blow for the four-time Masters champ.
Tiger Woods appeared to injure his wrist on the ninth hole at the Masters Sunday. Woods tried a punch shot from the pine straw down the right side of the hole, and his club caught what looked like a tree root as he made contact. Woods yelped out in pain and dropped the club as soon as he made the swing.
Woods took an extended stretch trying to shake it off before walking up to the green favoring his entire right side. It did appear he would continue on and he putted out on the No. 9 hole.
Woods was leaning on his putter as he left the green. The ninth hole would have been a good place to walk off if he did have to withdraw. But Tiger did go on to the 10th tee, where he sent his drive way right and clenched up in pain as soon as he finished the follow through. Based on that swing, and the way he's walking, we may be on WD watch throughout the second nine.
It's an incredibly unfortunate turn for someone whose form has looked great in his return to the game.
